DISCLAIMERS
This internet site (the "Site") and the information and materials that it contains have been prepared by Stotland Craig, PLLC (the "Firm") for purpose of providing information about the Firm and its affiliated companies and relationships only. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of the terms listed below and on other pages of the Site. If you do not accept these terms, please discontinue use of this Site. The information contained herein may be incomplete and is not intended to constitute legal advice on specific matters, create an attorney-client relationship or be legally binding in any way.
ACCESS TO THE SITE
At its discretion and without any notice, the Firm may change, alter, suspend, or discontinue this Site at any time and for any reason. The Site may become unavailable due to maintenance or malfunction of computer equipment, the Internet or other reasons, including reasons outside the control of the Firm. Use of this Site constitutes an agreement to waive any claim you might otherwise have against the Firm that arises from your use of this Site or information provided by this Site. In addition, use of this Site constitutes an agreement to indemnify, hold harmless and defend the Firm from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and all costs and expenses of defense, including but not limited to, attorneys' fees, resulting directly or indirectly from a claim by a third party that alleges injury, damage or harm in whole or in part arising from the provision by you of information from, or claimed to be from, this Site, or that in any way arises from your use of this Site or information provided by this Site in violation of these terms.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES
This Site may contain links to sites not owned or operated by the Firm that are provided only as a convenience. Use this site constitutes your understanding that these links are not under the control of the Firm and that the Firm is not responsible for the contents of any linked site, or any link contained in a linked site. JURISDICTIONS AND STATE LAW
The Firm's lawyers provide direct representation only within the states of New York, Florida, and Michigan, but we maintain relationships with lawyers throughout the United States. The Firm may refer prospective clients to other law firms located throughout the country, who form relationships with the Firm, and are experienced in handling such cases. The Firm may also undertake legal representation in certain cases and will affiliate with other legal counsel located throughout the country to provide legal representation.
Laws vary from state to state. The applicable statute of limitations is especially important. Every state has laws called “statutes of limitations" which set a deadline to file a lawsuit. That means that a lawsuit filed too late may be thrown out, regardless of the defendant's liability.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, the Firm disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Specifically, but without limitation, the Firm does not warrant that: the information on this Site is correct, accurate or reliable; the functions contained on this Site will be uninterrupted or error-free; or defects will be corrected, or that this Site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
RESPONSE TO ONLINE REQUESTS
From time to time, the Firm may offer to provide information or materials via email or otherwise to interested persons. The Firm reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to reject any requests for such information or materials, or to discontinue the provision of such information or materials to any person, for any reason whatsoever.
ATTORNEY/STAFF EXPERIENCE
The Firm's attorneys practice only in the state(s) where we are licensed. We also have affiliations in particular cases with attorneys licensed to practice in other courts in various states throughout the United States. Any experience described on Attorney bios on this Site may date from before an individual attorney of staff member joined the Firm. Information presented in Attorney bios is not intended to imply specific expertise or guarantees, but is meant to provide a brief recap of the experience and education of staff prior to and currently at the Firm.
